Williams Announces Nearly $63,000 in Grants for Local Fire, EMS Companies

February 18, 2026

HARRISBURG – Rep. Craig Williams (R-Chester/Delaware) today announced nearly $63,000 in state grant funding has been awarded to support fire and emergency medical services organizations serving communities in the 160th Legislative District.

“Our firefighters and emergency responders serve our communities at every hour and in every condition,” said Williams. “These grants provide direct support for equipment, training and facility needs so local companies can continue protecting our neighbors safely and effectively.”

Funding was awarded through the Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program, which the General Assembly created to provide ongoing support for Pennsylvania’s local emergency response organizations. The program is administered by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.

The following organizations received funding:
• Bethel Township Hose Company No. 1 (Fire) – $15,724.
• Chester Heights Fire Company No. 1 (Fire) – $16,136.
• Concordville Fire and Protective Association (EMS) – $15,000.
• Concordville Fire and Protective Association (Fire) – $16,136.

Eligible uses for the grants include construction or renovation of fire or ambulance facilities, purchase or repair of equipment, training, recruitment and retention efforts, public education and debt reduction.

All funding for the program comes from slot machine gaming revenue, not General Fund tax dollars.

“These awards strengthen readiness across our region and help local companies continue providing the high-quality emergency services our communities rely on,” said Williams.
